Horrible crash in Frederick MD

Story found Here.

Pics found here.

This makes me sick to my stomach. :( We have been having a problem with not only stupid and careless drivers, but also dumb people showing off and/or racing. Dumb drivers are everywhere, but I've been noticing a lot more lately.

One of the reasons I've been putting off getting a motorcycle.

EDIT: This crash is a year old. But still...pisses me off.

How did the guy in the WRX live? It ripped the motor completely off. I hate people that show off thier car because they have power, if i waan't to showw off i drag it.

What ever sentence he gets he deserves! I'm amazed at how the Impreza was able to withstand that kind of force it speaks for subaru's safety. I feel very bad that happened because someone was showing off their car 134 mph on a 2 lane road that is beyond stupid. I mean what the hell was going through his mind.

The woman in the Avalon died on impact. The driver of the WRX and the passengers (3) all lived with serious injuries...obviously.

Anyone want to sell me a tank?

I thought the Beltway was bad back in the late 70's.

Where someone gets the bright idea to do such a thing is beyond me.

all '02+ Subaru B-pillars have a solid steel rod wrapped in 8 layers of high strength steel. its one of the reasons i bought my wife a WRX -very safe. i most certainly didn't even consider the fun factor. :D

the Jaws of Life won't cut through them. here is a bulletin to firefighters ....

i also won't get a motorcycle due to too many morons talking on cellphones, sending text messages, eating McValue Meals, and putting on makeup while driving.

When I was at Wyotech a couple of guys borrowed their roommates WRX, and were driving back from Denver, both were drunk, and were driving through Fort Collins at ~90 MPH, clipped the nose of a Explorer at an intersection and spun sideways into a tree, cutting the car in half at the B pillar and killing both occupants. They had the halves of the car on a trailer with a banner that read: "Booze, Cruise, Lose"

I tried to find some pictures with google but to no avail, they had it at Wyotech for Alcohol Awareness Day while I was there...

Too many drivers are doing something else at the same time while driving from what I observe...

How are you going to do with them?

there are many times i find myself at a redlight in an intersection and everyone in the cars around me are talking on a cell phone. i get especially nervous when the person behind me is yapping on a phone.
