Who is interest in an SVX/Alcyone patch?
 

Hi all,

I'm just trying to get an idea of how many people would be interested in an Alcyone patch (modelled after the JDM hood emblem). The patch will be 2.5" tall (perfect for a baseball cap).

I have contacted a custom patch shop. The prices are a little higher due to the custom border shape. I could have gone with a standard border shape (oval or circle), but I figured it was worth the extra 50 cents per patch to get it right. I can either get 44 patches at about $4 per patch or 110 patches at $2.50 per patch. I don't mind having some left over as new owners will want some, but I would like to exceed the 44 number so we can get the cheaper pricing. ONce I place the order it will take about 2 months to come in and distribute the patchs to everyone.

Have you discussed these with the subarusvx.org folks? Just a thought that they might be interested in marketing them as well.

I'm going to be using black and shades of grey for the non-black bits. I usually do not like the way the silver thread turns out. Also, it doesn't seem to have long term durability. All the mteallic color thread I have had seems to flake or fade with washing.

I would LOVE a couple in blue or red where the silver part is!!
