Possible Lowest Mileage SVX SOLD!

Any comments on this auction? Think the price was reasonable? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=4522825440
Of coarse everyone bids in the last minute, I was beaten by 100$..:(

immortal_suby 02-06-2005 05:09 PM

As long as there are no surprises I'd say the price was very reasonable.
Just seems like that auction was a little sketchy, I would have asked for a ton of pictures to try and verify the mileage.

shelfy 02-06-2005 05:40 PM

the auction states the reserve was not met. do you know better?

immortal_suby 02-06-2005 05:44 PM

He had a comment in there that said it would sell regardless of the reserve being met

Shelfy you didn't bid on the car did you? He said he'd sell it to the highest bidder. I had emailed him and offered him 12,500 a couple days ago, probably just should have given him 14 and made it a done deal...but being 15 and all and having no money I guess that's kind of hard to do right? :)

WOW A ROTARY ENGINE!!!!! I wish I could have that SVX...

Speedklix 02-06-2005 07:13 PM

Low miles car.
"collectable"
not titled in the name of the seller
in Florida..................

Sounds like retitled salvage car to me.

Well he claims his uncle in North Carolina had owned it the past 9 years and that he recently inherited it and has been driving it since, I emailed the high bidder and told him to give me an update once he gets it. I'm sure its legit, but 15 grand is a little too high in my oppinion for a car that is only worth 10. The SVX is a cult car, it's not really a collecter's car, which is why it makes no sense for someone like me to buy a nice one like this when I can spend 4 grand to get one im not afraid to have fun with.

ensteele 02-06-2005 07:46 PM

That is probably the best way to look at it. :)

svxthc 02-06-2005 07:51 PM

Thanks ensteele, I'm sure you can relate with your 7 :)

ensteele 02-06-2005 07:53 PM

I hope it is legit, hate to see an SVX owner get taken. The comment about the engine does make me believe the story a bit. He clearly doesn know much about the car. A bodyman would atleast know that it isn't a rotary.

I used quotes on collectable for how it was referenced.
