DC parking tickets!!! BAD PEOPLE!!
 

I recieved via USPS (2) tickets for parking in DC in late sept.
The tickets were issued to a honda. The tag was on my 47 Dodge pu, locked in the garage. Well they were on the Dodge until I turned them in to MVA 9-2005!
I mailed a reciept from Md MVA that stated that the tags were recieved, (2), I called MSP and reported the tags 'stolen' from MVA not me! I called MVA and had an investigator dig around. He said that that tag number was issued to a honda in Missouri!
He also confirmed that MY tags were turned in 4 years before the 'infraction.

From this day forward, MVA will recieve (4) tags, I will cut them in half before I give them up!

PS, I recieved a notice on monday, that "since I did not challenge one of the tickets, that I ADMIT GUILT and now owe an additional penalty!
And these clowns want to run HEALTHCARE!! They can't even read and write there!


UPDATE!!!!

The're BACK!! I have been turned into the collections MAFIA and my credit report KILLED because I didn't PAY those damned tickets!
The Maryland MVA Investigator called them today,(AGAIN) and told them that I didn't HAVE those tags!

They HUNG UP on HIM!

Now, since we ALL know how 'compassionate' Maryland's MVA people are, I have to give this guy CREDIT!! HE has spent HOURS on the phone TRYING to get this fixed!

It is now at the point that I have MORE time and money invested than the damned tickets are worth!!
The State of Md has more time and money invested than the ticket is worth.

I REFUSE to PAY the BOGUS tickets!!!
I just sent an e-mail to the HEAD guy! Next I'm going to the Mayor, (Got his e-mail too). I might have to ask obama to FIX a major problem next! He OWNES the city/Country, right?

That sucks Jerry. I had something similar, where I received a parking ticket via mail. I called the magistrate listed on the infraction, asked what kind of vehicle it was written up on. He said blue something or other. I said that plate is on a white excursion, and his meter-maid must have fat fingered when writing the number down. He appoligized and said he'd take care of it.

I got much more lucky than you it seems. How are plates linking cross state??? I'd call the judge who issued it, because that's rediculious. Stand behind your principals. They can try and take everything else, but those are ours alone.

I'm surprised they did it for credit thing, usually they issue an arrest warrent(passive) here at least. I agree about healthcare, they've screwed everything else up, and have complete clowns to manage stuff, nothing would get done right. And this is an INDEPENT and FREE nation! Lets NOT hand them even MORE control of our lives!!!

Some meter maid made an 'O' that looked like a 'D'. I have NEVER had my 47 Dodge street rod there! The tags EXPIRED in May,2006
I had turned them in in Sept 05.

What the clowns that you voted in?

The clowns running my $12k a year heath care plan just insisted on receiving a $300 x ray before paying for an mri for an obvious herniated disc as it is "their policy". In the meantime I missed an extra 3 days of work costing my employer an extra grand in salary while I waited. At least if the gov't is running your health care you have a vote. In the private sector when they don't pay you can't go anyware else legally without it being a pre-existing condition.

I'll take a clown that I can fire anyday over one I can't.:rolleyes: Then again, my health care is free as I'm one of those clowns to begin with.

Actually, I did NOT 'vote' for what we have, and I am VERY happy with my Blue Cross insurance. In fact, IF it was not for that insurance, I would be a 'self employed' person. I can make a LOT more money than I do! HOWEVER, My wife's problems would bleed me dry in short order.

I KNOW about herniated discs. I carry 2 with me everywhere!

As you get OLDER, they dry up a little and either they hurt less or you get USED to the pain! I'm not letting anyone cut on me till the Medical Examiner!
I use anti-inflamitory drugs, banannas and Chiropractors to keep going.
I also have 3 compressed discs and a cracked Vert with a little Aurthur-ites thrown in.
I should be collecting SSI and popping pills from my PEZZ dispenser, BUT, I keep going, numb legs and back pain BE DAMNED!!
I can't run as far or as fast as I used to, so I learned to shoot better!

Traction helps a lot, but it hurts so bad when it's over that I have to do stretches and sit for 10 minutes before I can get dressed to leave.
When I get home, I need to do some 'activity' that involves the back or I'm so stiff the next day that I am MISERABLE!!
IF I do an 'activity', I'm fine..

Activity, defined... Splitting a few logs with a 16# splitting mall, Shoveling a few hundred # of snow,Stacking some firewood, Waxing a car, anything that WORKS the back.

Worked for Dad, Works for me!!
