Overhead lights blink
 

Yeah... I'm a bloody lurker...

So, when I get in and close the door, the dome light blinks 10 times. I've never heard of this... has anyone else? I think the car is trying to tell me something, I just don't know what...

Woah - never heard of that one. Do you have an aftermarket alarm or something?

Nope... I'm guessing the car is just pissed off 'cause I test drove a mini cooper the other day.

AFAIK, the light is supposed to fade out slowly. It sound like the timer unit that controls the fade out is....on the blink :D

My car was doing this for a while. Shortly after, the dome light burned out. When I replaced the bulb, the blinking stopped.

I'm not exactly sure why a dying bulb would cause it to blink, but its worth a shot...

Brilliant, Phil! I would tend to agree RE the unit that controls the dimming. I believe it's part of the "time control unit" which is located behind the glove box. :)

I think you may have bumped the "RAVE" button. It's located on the side of the console next to the glo-stick holder. :)
