Grandson from HEAVEN!!
 

We spent all day monday working at the farm..On sunday night, my 12 year old grandson called to ask if he could come too.

I told him that I would be HONORED if he came to help.

He showed up at my house and helped load the truck with all the tools. He rode to the farm with me, and unloaded all the tools. He ran to get whatever was needed for whatever we were doing all day. If I needed something moved, he moved it. If I neded something held, he held it,
It was a COLD day with a lot of snow blowing everywhere, but Mike stayed 'on task'!!

I think that the 'heat of the day' reached 35 degrees.
2 times, Mike asked me if I had some gloves. Both times, I gave him gloves..

HE is a WONDERFUL kid!!

Apples don't fall far from the tree. THIS is MY daughter's kid!!

The only time he gets into trouble is when he wants to do stuff, but there is no 'stuff' to do!!


I hope to be able to 'channel' his energy for a LONG time!!

I am happy to hear that you have such a great Grandson. It isn't always what they do, but the way they do it that means so much. ;) :)

I was told that Mike 'Worships' the ground that I walk on. DAMN!! I hope I don't disappoint him!!!!

After all, I'm just a burned out ol' Hippie from the late 60's, turned Redneck.

He IS a really energetic kid that needs guidance.

I'm a really tired middle-aged man that needs HELP!

I was there for about 1/2 the time Mike was there this past Monday.
And Jerry is right!
It was 35°f, damp, windy, and snowing off and on.:rolleyes:
While I was there Mike worked, and worked up a sweat.
It was cold and the kid did not complain or sulk!
Nice kid.
