trans cooler clogged?

any one on here have a idea how to tell if my trans cooler is cloged in any way... I just fried a new trans (3/4 started to slip) and I was told on here it was probly going to be the cooler clogged causeing the problem! (trans lasted 6k or so) I have a dealer reman im going to put in her and I dont want to have a problem..I pulled the rad out and blew air threw the cooler lines...it didnt seem clogged so im thinking that it might be the trans filter on the frame rail that is cloged. but Im just going to replace it (its only $15 from the dealer) so any pointers would be great... im not in the mood to do another trans in less then 10k.. I picked up a B&M trans cooler but it is the long type and it isnt going to fit from the looks of it and im going to pick up another one but the trans is geting done tomorrow....

With an external filter in place, it seems very unlikely your cooler could become clogged.

Tranny

Is there any warrantee on the reman tranny? Sounds like it wasn't right to begin with. I would recommend you have Level 10 rebuild your transmissions from now on. 67K is not a long time for a tranny to last, let alone 6k. Mine lasted 130,000 miles. Try using a synthetic trans fluid too.

my tranny messed up the first time due to me playing in the snow and all that was damaged was the 1st revers clutches welded them selfs togeather..(got stuck and was beating the crap out of it!). but the trans only lasting a few miles was due to the trans cooler being cloged and caused the trans to over heat and smoked the 3/4 clutch packs
