New Subaru Exiga
 

Has anybody seen any information about this car? It looks interesting, and not as ugly as most recent Subarus.

Finally a flat 6 worth the hassle of swapping into an SVX...

That's the most interesting bit for me too Dave.

If it is true they are dropping the 3.0 litre flat 6, then is it possible the 3.7 is a bored and stroked version of the 3.0 mill, or, more interestingly, could it be a stroked version of the EG 33?

The new 08 Tribeca has an EZ37.....(I think that's right)

yea thats right... Subafreak was telling me about some changes they had made to the engine which was intruiging

Actually I thought it was a 3.6l motor with three timing chains which was new for the Tribeca.

Wikipedia: "EZ36: 3564.3cc DOHC, 256@6000rpm 247lb-ft@4400rpm found in the 2008 Subaru Tribeca"

The tribeca has the EZ36 I thought....

I like it in some ways, but it will never replace the SVX. :) Reminds me of the G37 coupe.

needs less height and more length to even be close... It still looks too much like an economy car IMHO

seeing how my LGT gets about 17mpg with a 2.5L turbo-4, this 3.7L turbo-6 should get about 10mpg. :rolleyes:

the 300hp STi is now $40k. i'm guessing a 450hp Legacy STi will be pushing $50k, at least.




Subarus are no longer a good bang-for-the-buck. :(
