Power steering line question
 

I was dropping in a new engine this weekend and during the swap I noticed the power steering line on my old 94 engine is all rubber while the line on the engine im dropping in is a solid metal line. What year did this change occur? Is the all rubber line on my current engine OEM or was it some kind of a hackjob by the previous owner?

Doesn't sound stock. The stock one should be part metal.

yea, on my new engine the metal part runs from the front of the engine back to where it would pick up the rubber half. And on my old engine its rubber from a metal fitting on the power steering resevoir all the way back.

Not sure when the change happened, sometime before 95.

92-?? had Metal running the length of the engine then a fitting transitioning to rubber down to the rack.

94??95?? - 97? ran the rubber tubing the whole way from the rack to the pump.
