We should all be so lucky

Last night after watching me stare open-mouthed at that GREAT WRX commercial bragging about that wonderful car's awards, my wife uttered these words:

Jee honey, you should get one of those.....

..and she didn't mean in PLACE of my beloved SVX.

I still have that image of that electric blue rally car sliding around a corner in the dirt.

She even commented on how the car corners with all FOUR wheels pulling it around. I think I NEED to take my SVX out in the dirt someday. She also suggested that I look for some kind of rally to go get all the 'speed out of my system'.

I had to explain that speed is something that cannot be 'get out'.

Married 12 years, met 19 years ago in high school and I still love her to pieces.

This is a fantastic argument for cloning.

That's awesome. My wife is very similar - just about smaller things since our discretionary income is still in kind of short supply. :)

That WRX commercial is cool, indeed. They've been using the same footage for over a year and that's just fine - the combination of sounds and sights say everything they need. It won't make you more attractive. It won't suddenly turn you into a spy or a rock star. It's a driver's car and it speaks for itself with no excess packaging required.

Now don't get me wrong here. I don't happen to have $25K laying around either. But hey! one can dream. Now if only my 200 shares of that penny stock would go crazy.....

Um . . . . I don't quite go that far. Perhaps when we hit 40. :D

But, seriously, Harvey, congratulations on a long and happy marriage.
