Rear view mirror compatibility
 

In case it hasn't already been mentioned, the Legacy/Outback mirror seems to fit perfectly. I'm speaking of the interior, ceiling-mount mirror, NOT the door mirrors. The mirror for my 94 SVX was under the seat when I bought the car. It didn't have all the parts to mount it. So I checked the one in my 97 Outback, and it mounted right up in the SVX using the SVX screws. The trim piece snaps right on too. I imagine 95-99 Legacy and Outback are all the same.

But what we really need is a compatible Visor set. I'll do some more looking this weekend.

Thanks for posting this. I have been having trouble finding a decent mirror for the svx. They all seem to be flaking off the perimeter of the glass. I didn't think they were ceiling mount :/

I've been thinking about mounting the new style mirror to the windshield.... mainly because I want the home link feature. :)
I already have the mirror... but have more pressing matters to attend to on the car. If I ever get around to it, I'll post up what went right/wrong.
