Having trouble with AIM
 

So for the past few months my instant messenger is being stupid. When i direct connect with someone i am not able to view any pictures they send me. It comes up as a blank white spot. I can't even see smiley faces....they come up as a box with a red X in it. Ive tried everything imaginable....ive upgraded and everything and still it doesnt work. Any idea on what to do ?....the firewall thingamajig is right where it should be.

get trillian its bettAr. and there are like a tun of smilies. and if you have other accounts liek from yahoo or something it sound put them together, so you can talk with someone on yahoo messenger and on AIM at the same time. simply put...its the bomb

So i can still talk to people on AIM like normal? Where would i get this from?

here, your AIM maybe fried, either reinstall it or use trillian instead.

My AIM went nutso and I have been using Trillian since, but it doesn't always like MSN.

I've been having problems wiht aim too. I am getting disconnected all the time, and it will not reconnect. I downloaded the latest release, and no help whatsoever. I started using Trillian about three weeks ago, and it's great. I only wish I could import my away messages from aim into Trillian. Get it. It rocks.

i love trillian. so much that i got pro.

I use trillian also and it's great! Only thing it's lacking is the "get file" feature where you can browse buddies files and download them.

Trillian here as well. I use it for everything including the SVX chat room.

Cool how do i use SVX chat in trillian?
