Is $550 a good price for 1996 Legacy Outback transmission and rearend with 60k miles on them?

Great price. Go for it. I paid 450 for mine and it was a 97 with 122K miles.

I had an 01 Forestor transmission (30k miles) and a 411 vlsd rear end for sale for 500.

The rear end has been sold to a Datsun 510 guy but the tranny is still available for 250. I'll even through in a shifter from a WRX for 25 more.
