Probably impossible...

Hey fellow SVXers... Anybody have, or know where I might find, a passenger-side sun visor in grey?

I need the entire swivel too.

And for a really impossible ask, does anyone have (or know) where I can get new rear deck speaker grilles??

Thanks all,
Mark

There looks to be one on Ebay right now... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1992-Subaru...4AAOSw1jpcM8Sx

Item# 41f7dc42cf if the link doesn’t work. I saw someone also has the clip listed if you need that as well.

There are no NEW rear speaker grilles left, either gray or beige. They have been out of production and NLA for about 12 years. When i bought the very last set of beige grilles back in 2006, I had to get them straight from Japan. The gray ones were gone almost 2 years earlier.

The problem lies with the fact that in their mounting position on the rear deck, they get constant heat and the effects of damaging UV rays from the sun, which dries them out, makes them brittle and crack. Add in the vibration from the bass speakers and you have a recipe for failure.

The beige ones are more fragile than the gray ones because the bronze glass passes more UV light.

Some members have glued them together, covered them completely by stretching speaker fabric over the entire grille and then reinstalling them.

Salvage yards or cars being parted out may be the only options. Southern and southwestern cars have gotten more sun, but are more likely to have dark tinted windows to minimize sun damage

Bologna, I bought factory-fresh tan rear speaker grills as recently as 2012 or 2013.

You could always try a DIY speaker cover...

I have been in touch with Subaru of Japan Main Distribution Center, as well as JP-carparts in Kyoto, Japan.

Dear John Hoffman,

Thank you for your inquiry on the following parts

65530PA000MD GRILLE ASSEMBLY, SPEAKER RIGHT, GRAY
65530PA010MD GRILLE ASSEMBLY, SPEAKER LEFT, GRAY
65530PA000DO GRILLE ASSEMBLY, SPEAKER RIGHT, BEIGE
65530PA010DO. GRILLE ASSEMBLY, SPEAKER LEFT, BEIGE

Unfortunately, the parts you inquired are discontinued and no longer available.
The manufacturer said there are no plans to produce them anymore.

There are none listed in local inventories in Australia or New Zealand
We cannot find used parts, either.

We truly apologize for the inconvenience.
If you are interested in any other Japanese auto parts, please feel free to contact us anytime.

OP, if I find the time, I may try and go see if this one SVX is still at a pick n pull in Fort Worth and hope the grills are on it.
