Benebob was in an accident
 

He is stable in the hospital with a broken pelvis.

He was on his motorcycle this morning and was hit by a drunk driver. They did catch the guy.

I'm sorry that I don't have much more in the way of details right now.

I'll be speaking with his wife tomorrow and will keep you all updated.

I just spoke with Ben's wife. He is going in for surgery shortly to patch up his pelvic bone. They are also going to take a look at one of his kidneys that may have been damaged.

According to Ben and other witnesses he was traveling north on a 5 lane commercial road (shopping centers and on ramps). He was getting ready to merge into the center turning lane but was waiting for a southbound car to pass. That car turned into him. He went over the bars, across her hood and onto the ground. The driver got out of her car, looked at him, then got back in and drove off. A witness jumped back in his car to follow her and called the police, they caught her about 20 miles away and found she was DUI.

He was wearing his full face helmet and his motorcycle jacket with the protective panels.

I plan on stopping in to see him tomorrow and will pass on everyone's thoughts.

:( Hope Ben has a speedy and pain free recovery. Glad to know he's mostly in one piece though.

Felony hit and run + DUI? Hope she's facing jail time for this.

I got word that he got out of surgery and everything is looking good. :D

One thing I forgot in the earlier post, the accident happened at approximately 9:30 Sunday morning.
