How to take off rear quarter panel
 

How do I go about taking off a rear quarter panel (pass)?? I found one, but am not sure how to disassemble...:confused:

Remove rear side glass, rear windshield, body cladding, fuel filler neck, trunk-lid, tail-lights, rear bumper, wheel well liner, get out a cut-off tool and start going at the seams. Once you have the old one off you get to weld the new one in, and then re-install everything.

That's the basic idea anyway.

Would this be easier and less expensive to do compared with having the following crease taken out? Here's a pic of the bad one:

It's going to be much, much easier to just take the dent out. You can get to the back side of the dent by just taking out the cardboard/cloth liner.

Rear quarer panel.....HUUGE pain in the ass. You really need specialized tools and some professional experiance to get it right. Pulling that dent, and making a clean diy repair...Peice of cake

Hammer it out the best you can from inside the trunk. It seems to work best of you start at the edges of the dent and work your way around to the middle rather than taking a big ol hammer and whacking the center.
If the offending area is stilldented, or it is looking kindof crinkley after you push the dent out, sand the area down with 80 grit and apply a few tight layers of body filler. Im pretty sure I typed out a basic idea of what to do from there somewhere else...a search should bring it up

Edit: Looking at the way the quarter meets the bumper in the first picture, pulling that out might be rather hard. but, if you were planning on trying to hang a quarter anyway...it cant hurt to try pulling it first.
