Finally 1/43 SVX Model coming out!!

Hi guys!

Wow it has been a while to speak out here. Well I gotta spread this news to everyone here. :)

Finally finally and FINALLY a SVX model you can buy and put it on on your desktop is coming out! I got this news from my SVX friend in Japan, he found this picture in "Model Car Magazine". It is a Japanese magazine, you may found it difficult to find unless it's Japanese bookstore. Anyway, here's the visual. Sorry for large image.. wanted to show details..

Some of you might know the French die-cast model brand "Norev". They are the one who is developping the model now. It will make an official debut at the Shizuoka hobby show in Japan. Not sure about the pricing. Hope it's affordable....

Anyway, I can't wait. I will follow-up with updates as much as I can.

This one looks more like it'd be at home in a soap dish;)

There was a gentleman who had a quantity of SVX models produced and he was selling them on ebay. Ask AvPPoW, he owns one, and he HASNT PUT IT TOGETHER YET!!!!! Its all metal too.

1/43 is the size of a hot wheel.....

I'd like a 1/24 or 1/18 version.....

But anything is better than nothing...

there was a fair amount of 1/18 models floating around japan at the time I joined this forum. At the time I wish I had some japanese contacts to get me one :(

Three years and counting since I bought mine...and it is still sitting unassembled in the box. I'll get to it...someday.

Eventually I'll get around to putting my models together as well. :D

I won a model at Reading VI but I haven't put it together yet..........

Hmm... seems like there are a few of us that haven't put them together yet.:D I started working on mine, but then ran into problems with having a drill bit small enough for the wheel attatchments, the "window" painting and fitment, and how to shave the metal body just right... i think you have to use some filler to smooth out some areas.

That's most likely 3x plaster model. They are revising the shape, detail at 3x scale of the final product. That 3x scale plaster model is usually used for tooling pattern. It's very similar to what I do everyday for my work.:D

It should look like a real car when they sell....

Yeah I probably know which one you talking about. Zinc body one, right?
I also know the other 1/43 SVX model which was produced by the individual.
You can see both in here.

But this Norev one doesn't require any assembly! Just buy and display! It's that easy!

HWs usually makes 3 inch cars which is like 1/64. but since they are generics, they don't put scale on the chassis. 1/43 scale is actually very good size for collection so you might like it.

I have 1/24 scale SVX...you can check those out in my locker.

This one kit was produced while ago from Studio 27. Resin cast. very crude model, and I had to spent all my winter break...

Yeah still wondering who is going to make 1/18 scale SVX.... I like to have one.

Maybe left unassembled will be very valuable in near future...?:D
How much is the model in ebay now??

Good thing hobbies don't usually have anything like deadline to worry about:)
