Hello

Hello, I'm new in this forum. I'm from Madrid (Spain).
I have a '94 SVX.
Do someone know an internet store where I could buy front brake disks for my SVX?
Thanks!
Regards!

Greetings! Welcome to the site.
As to sources for rotors, try using the "Search" button above and typing in "brake rotors". You should get several threads that discuss the pros and cons of all of the rotors folks on the site have tried.

Hi Supertole. You are welcome to the site, hope we can help you.

Tell us a little about your car, colour, kilometres etc.

For local help [local as in Iberian!] search for posts by Tone. Tone is in Porto in Portugal, and has a yellow car he imported from Germany. He may know about local sources for parts. When you find his posts, click on the button marked PM, and you can contact Paulo direct.

For an online source, try this one:

http://www.ebcbrakesdirect.com/car/p...+%2892%2D98%29

Be careful buying online. Don't buy REAR discs from the USA. Their rears are solid. Euro rears are ventilated, so I expect our calipers on the rear are wider also. If buying from the US, be sure you are getting the correct part.[The vast majority of wear and tear parts are the same, but rear discs are not]

Welcome aboard. We could probably help you source a lot of stuff. Keep in touch. :D

Joe :)

Bienvenido!

:) Hola Supertole!

Thanks for pointing me in the map Joe. :D

It is definitely great news to know about you and your SVX.
From now on you are the closest SVX owner I know of. :)
Still 600km away...

I will travel to Madrid anytime from today till late January on professional affairs but I guess we could have a beer together and officialise our first Iberian SVX owners mini-meet. :D
I will let you know when that happens.

As Joe and all the Friends at this meeting place know I am always coming and going as I don't have much time and I am ashamed to say my SVX is stopped for about six months now for no particular reason... :(
It is a long story but basically somebody tried to steal it and after that I have put it away in a garage 10km away from my home.

So enjoy the place!

Also tell us more about your car and its origins.
I know it is 94 model, White/Black color combination (the one I love most! :) ), with 128000KM (still a child for Subaru SVX standards).

Almost forgot to tell you about the brakes but basically Joe said it all.
In my opinion the USA is the cheaper source as there are many SVX when compared to Europe (I should know as I already bought from there twice and around 1500 Euros of wear parts as well as a complete mid-pipe).
However you have to be careful about some small subtle differences between the models like the rear discs Joe mentioned and the transmission rear drive.

For the rear discs I would try the link Joe suggested as the Subaru price for such part will be outrageous and EBC parts have proven quality.

Un abrazo,

:) Tone

Hi and welcome also!

Tone, shame on you! I know of someone here in London who would be happy to look after the SVX for you and do some trans-Europe blasts down the autobahn - I heard he is a bit of an SVX nut so he would take care of it and bring it gifts and offerings of climate control consoles; tranny coolers and sun visors

;)

I wonder who that person might be...

:) Hi Mate!

Promises, promises!...

I wonder when HE will get you down here (not down under :D ).
Flights to Porto, Portugal are very low price and I know HE just LOVES planes.

Whenever HE might come HE will be able to eat as many kilometers as HE wants in my Yellowsub. :)

All the mentioned "systems" of the spacecraft are up and running so no need for goodies as far as those are concerned. ;)

Cheers! :D

:) Tone

Rest assured, I am sure that HE will be heading down that way by the middle of next year!

:D

Great!

No need to rent a car Mate. :D

Definitely need someone to give it a spin through the country.
I don't have time to drive it...

Let me know dates and places as soon as you know it.

:) Tone

Thanks to all of you!
I will not change the brake disks yet. In approximately 10.000km I will change the front so I would look in USA e-stores because the UK one you said is a bit expensive. I upload one photo of my car :)

Meeting!!!!!!!

Hey, I can see a '06 Continental European meeting shaping up here. Portugal in June or July looks attractive. I'll bring the family.

Supertole, if you come, you can show off your new brakes!!! :D

Joe :)
