Blew PS hose??
 

Anyone else had a PS hose go on them? The wife was drivin along and pow-no PS and tons of atf stink smoke from the hood. haven't looked yet but is this common?

Happened to me. It was the rack return hose. Amazing how you can drain the entire PS system in a few seconds.

The rack might survive a 10 mile journey, but the pump might not since it'll keep rotating with no oil. You might want to determine which hose went and attempt a roadside repair. The low pressure hose is somewhat easily replaceable and only costs a couple of dollars.

I had the same problem Doug had. I also had a pressure hose get a pin hole and leak. Remember - these cars are around 10 years old. Hoses start to go. :(
