I'm Clicking...

Today we were doing a photo shoot and I relized I was clicking up front. Popped the hood and noticed the sound was coming from my crank pulley. I wasn't spinning true (Round). I'm going to replace it but is there anything else I should check before replacing it?

no....they have a history of going bad with age...post a picture of it once you take it off....it's most likely cracked

loose crank bolt.

As it is clicking, the bolt may have been a bit loose, for a while. So check the keyway, and look at the keyway in the belt sprocket behind it, to see if it is loose also.

She's going into the "Down" status for the next couple days till I get the Perrin lightened crank pulley. I don't think the bolt was loose considering Tom and I took it off and put it back on with the impact wrench.

I jsut noticed the clicking yesterday and you can ask Tom how anal I am about my Pearl eps. when it comes to the engine.

But when I dug into it today I took the belts off and went to loosen the bolt and it was already loose. Pulled everything off and everything looked ok. I think I'm still going to go with a lightened crank pulley only because mine has 96K on it. Everything looked ok but I'll take pics for you guys to diagnose.
