Who Make A/c Compressor Rebuild Kits
 

I have 3 a/c compressors all doing the same thing..seals leaking and clutch is saturated. Tried a search with no results. The cheapest I found was at motorsport warehouse and they are $190 with a core charge. Does anyone know of a seal kit or maybe even just input shaft seal? I dont like putting R-12 into the ozone layer.

you gotta be kidding me!! Nobody else has this problem? or am I missing something:confused:

It's almost impossible to find parts anymore. Most distributors only deal with rebuilders - no public OR shops. The a/c distributor in Florida that I used to deal with twenty times each day won't deal with me since I sold my shop. You might be able to Google up one or two, good luck!

This company rebuilt the compressor (which I bought from an on-line supplier) currently in my silver SVX:

As they market finished wares to retailers I've no idea if they'd want to sell parts to or do a rebuild for anyone off the street (probably not), but it couldn't hurt to ask.
