air bag light
I took my car to the dealer because my air bag light was on. They told me the air bag module was bad. I changed the module but my air bag light is still on. Can anyone help me I have a 92SVX

If they told you to change the control module and that wasn't the problem then have them fix the issue for you. You were misinformed.
There are expensive instruments designed to tell you what the problem is with the system. |
I think there is a way to pull codes for the SRS, isn't there?
Ditto that. If they told you that a module would fix it, and it didn't, you shouldn't be expected to pay for a non-effective repair. |
That's the one set of codes/instructions I don't have in the SVXipedia.
I keep forgetting to look in the FSM's. My dad was mentioning something must be plugged into the Airbag ECU before codes/tests could be read. |
Ya, SRS can be pretty expensive to repair if you make a mistake.

That's what we're finding out. Basically if the airbags pop your car is totalled. (more so if insurance demands new replacements)

Earthworm
Earthworm do you know where how to get the codes for the air bag?
|
air bag light
Anyone know how to get air bag codes? How to clear them?
|
what codes do you have? It should light up every time you start the car, but that is all it should do. If it lights up, it needs to be checked. :)
|
I had it checked I was told the module was bad. I changed it, the air bag light is still on

Until it's in the SVXipedia you can check out this PDF:
