A/C needs freon or fixing?

Hi,
My A/C works "cool" went the temperture is below 85F and it make a strange noise like it is sucking out the energy out of the car. I hope that it's a minor problem, cause I'm burning in the islands.
Please help.
peace,
sid

What year is your car?

If it's a 92 look into getting it professionally converted to R134. It's worth it.

If you already have R134 then we will need a bit more information in order to help you.

Well, I have a '96 SVX lsi with 86,000 miles. All I hope is just more freon.
thanks,
sid

have it checked for leaks. You need a precise amount of R134 in it otherwise the pump will cut out or not turn at all.
