This isnt going to be a good birthday :(
 

I need to post somewhere...

My sister n laws mother was diagnosed with cancer a few months back, shes had it before, but now its back, and its everywhere, and taking her down fast. Ive been there as much as I can for my sister n law, for one because she is family, and because her mom and her sister are also family to me. We have a long past, and they are a major part of me growing up, in both good and bad ways.

So today is my birthday... and I just got a call from my sister n laws sister, asking me to call her sister, because the doctors told them that the mother might not make it through the night. Im going to the hospital soon after I am finished posting this... Ive got so much stuff going through my mind, Im not sure what to do.

I feel like people here are also like a family to me, Ive been around here for a few years now, and know most people either by their posts, or by interacting with them personally. No one here has ever hurt me in any way, and I am so thankful for that.

I was looking forward to tomorrow as a happy day, but it looks like a higher power has changed my plans. Its been a long time since Ive been to church or anything, but I have never lost my faith. Im praying that something good comes out of tonight... If it be good or bad to us, Im keeping the mother in mind. She will have everyone who loves her there for her, and I am praying that the pain she is having can come to a close, even though it will bring more pain to others, including me.

I am asking those of you on here, to please keep me and my family in your minds. I dont have many people to turn to with my feelings... my girlfriend is about the only one...

Hang in there man, it's good you have faith in the Lord, you can always turn to Him for help even when there is no person around to talk to, He is always there :) I've been through the same thing, my wife's grandmother, who considered me one of her own, passed away in December, it was pretty hard.

I got to deal with my first family death 4 days before my birthday last September (also the same day I got the replacement trannys for my SVX's). Things get tough, but time heals all wounds.

Just take it one day at a time and try to stay calm and level-headed for your loved ones.

Same here too, 3 years ago, my dad's cousin who was his work partner and practically brother... The worst thing is that I was sitting with him in the office talking and telling jokes... the next day he did not come in, he wasn't feeling well... after a week in bed, his family started to feel that there is something fishy about his case so they called the ambulance... After a month he just passed away... :(

I just cannot understand how a healthy man just dies because of cancer in a month! I can understand that there are types of cancer... but... Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh

Sorry for your families suffering, I lost my dad to cancer last year.

We found out just after Mother's Day, and he was gone on July 19th.

I didn't post it here because, being a Z owner who likes the SVX, I mostly lurk.

we found out that my mother in law had cancer 1 week after my husband asked me to marry him...we were married 7 weeks later...thankfully she was able to attend. she died about 1 month later.

losing someone close to you due to cancer is one of the worst things. watching them get sicker and sicker and finally pass on is a terrible thing to have to watch, especially when they have beaten it once (she did too) and it comes back with a vengence just when you think it was going to be alright.

My deepest sympathy to you. My friend's son Nick was diagnosed with it when he was 3 years old, and later went into remission after receiving chemotherapy.
But the cancer came back in May, forcing Nick to leave kindergarten to travel to Yale, and hospitals in New York and Philadelphia. The family expects medical bills that they must pay will hit about $20,000. The hope is that Nick will again go into remission until a cure can be found.
I will include you and your family in my prayers. I like to think the next life is in a better place.

Thank you everyone for your support.

She passed away this morning, and Im going to go and help with the funeral arrangements and some other stuff that needs sorted out. I know that she did go on to a better place, and shes no longer in the huge amounts of pain... So Im trying to keep my head up knowing shes in good hands now.

Tanks again to everyone, You may be people I dont know, but I still consider you a family.
