Problem Starting
 

Can anyone tell me why my SVX is spitting and sputtering during start up?? Turns over great, fires...., spits, sputters..... dies!! Try again same thing about 6 or 7 times. I don't touch the accelerater at all during this, cuz if I do... it dies. ...... Then all the sudden... turn the key and it starts and purrs like a kitten. When the motor warms up, all is fine. Runs great. Check engine light came on, but haven't had it to a mechanic yet. Wanted to have some kind of idea what it was before I did that. Anyone have any ideas???? or guesses??? Any info would be appreciated.

I have the same problem, except mine won't restart. My CEL code is #12, ignition. I've tried replacing the ignition switches and the ECU with no luck.
What is your CEL code? It's easy to check, instructions on this site.
