V-12 Beemers Rock! I drove a 2001 530i sedan and it was one smooth riding car.

And then... In walks some middle aged pluck to rain on the parade.

If I wanted a reliable car I'd buy a honda, If I wanted a full size sports car I'd snag a 750il :D I have read that page before... if your car spends 3 months in the shop you probably have a crappy mechanic  and plenty of people think the SVX is a piece of crap.

I wouldn't mind owning a 750. I never realized they were that affordable. From looking at them after seeing your thread, I'd never buy one new. Wayyy too much depreciation. Not that I could afford a new one anyway. :D

NapaBavarian 03-24-2006 10:01 PM

Yeah, $8000-1200 depreciation for the first few years:D

BUY IT!!! be the mother ****ing Transporter!!! but, if possible, look for a manual, they're hard to find, but possible

NapaBavarian 03-25-2006 07:42 AM

What? I didn't know that was an option in this country? I have read an article about a guy who converted with an 850csi 6 speed :D

NapaBavarian 03-25-2006 11:38 AM

Funny, people buy a fancy new car and wonder why they break more than a simple inexpensive honda... It isn't that the individual components break more frequently, but when you have 4 times the gadgets and the same percentage of failures you have 4 times the likleyhood of a failure :D That is why I like my old diesel, if it dosn't start I can count the possible problems on one hand, fuel pump, IP, injectors, no fuel, starter, battery... OK, that is 6, but still simple :D

One can also get a VW Phaeton for a decent price these days too, unless cylinder number and manual transmissions tickle your fancy.
