lip
hey everyone,
Just figured Id spill the beans on a little something Ive been playing with while tom's been away Im currently developing a front lip that bolts up in place of the factory plastic curb guard. It extends outword about two inches, and follows the contours of the upper half of the bumper, blending nicely into the sides. I have made a plug already, but it cracked. Im making repairs of it, and soon will have a mold. Expect to see them on sale before the end of febuary And like, for real -Eric Edit..long long after making this post, Im finally making headway on this project. the original plug was junk, and the new mold is nearly complete. See page 4 |
Pictures? :)

No:mad: I've been buggin this guy for pics of this project, but "he didn't take any":lol: That's lright though, it's gonna be worth the wait. |
I like it! It will probably have to be out of urethane to withstand repeated "curb bumps"

It will be fiberglass. Itll end up cheaper, less wobbly, and if you DO hit some curbs with it, it'll be easier to repair
|
Ill check up on the progress tomorrow. I'd like to see whats its like so far

kif like what I have for mine, I got CF, but for the love of god watch out for curbs!!! (an snow banks, I would take a pic of mine but the damn snowbank made it a two part front spoiler...) When I get a new one in the spring I can post pics. Here is the one I will be getting in the spring (same idea diff. company)

Wait! I found some pics of mine PRE-snow!!!
lets see if I can upload any (I have really big files...) MODERATOR: Please can we make the file size alittle larger? I mean all my files are 1.59mb, the site only takes 1mb or smaller... ANYONE ELSE: How do I make my files a tidbit smaller? |

Once it is opened select the "Image" menu. Select "Stretch and Skew". Change the Horizontal value to 25% and the Vertical value to 25%. Close the picture and save changes or do a "save as". That should make the picture a nice size for uploading. |
Put the picture into a photo editor and shrink them down a bit. :) If you can't do it, email it to me and I will do it for you. :)

here it is!
Had to throw the last one in... sry |
Good effort, just definitely impractical for daily use such as curbs, any sort of incline/ parking garage/speed bump, etc at least around here.
I'm not really a fan of the stevesby bumper, and not a fan of huge front lip spoilers, so this sort of is like a compound dislike for me. |
