no WRX's in this country until 2002
no 2.5L STi's until 2004

you can import a '93 - '95 STi from Japan, but it will have a 2.0L engine. only North America got the 2.5L Sti in 2004+.

you may be thinking of the 2.5RS. big difference.

upnygimp 06-15-2004 05:30 AM

And the 2.5RS is only 98-01

Chiketkd 06-15-2004 08:13 AM

Sorry. You were misinformed...

upnygimp 06-16-2004 12:10 AM

No 2.5RS would go for that. Theyre worth upwards of $10k.

Hahahaha :D:D That's great Mike :):) I was about to go crazy on this thread but good thing that I'm not the only one... How do I start........

1.) Early WRX's were never sold in the US. "2.5 WRX STI"???? WTF is that??? That only came into existance last year with the 2004 WRX STi. ONLY sold in america because of the US public's obsession with power and the incredible success of the normal WRX the first two years that it was launched in America.

2.) The most powerful Subaru that was sold in America in the 1990's was the SVX. None of the "performance" Imprezia's were sold in America. The most performance you could get out of the Subaru showroom was an SVX or an Impreza 2.5RS. <---- That is not another word for WRX STi....

3.) My dad owned one of the STi V.5's in Australia and I can again tell you that ALL STi models were 2.0ltr displacement till last year. (with the exception of the ultra rare 22B STi (2.2ltr)... But we can't really count that since not even 1,000 were ever made.).

Is everything clear now??? If you need a further lesson on the history of the Impreza please contact me and I'll school you more. However don't ask me to help you with your Engrish, I was never a good english student. More of a math and science student

Again, no 2.5RS until 1998. Sounds like daddy is giving him his first car. How sweet! My first car was a 1987 Subaru GL wagon, got it for $900 back in 1997. I blew the headgasket in about a year and a half

upnygimp 06-24-2004 07:19 PM

On another note, whats the deal with your RS? Really for sale for $6500?

Ryan 06-24-2004 07:23 PM

Yessiree, $6500 takes it. Price is explained by 135k miles. Are you interested?
