It's an aftermarket OEM replacement I think? It looks good enough for todays standards. It should work, should you find a SVX->Forester wiring harness?

It won't fit. All 2008-up Impreza and 2009-up Forester have a non-standard size OEM radio -- the face is 8" wide instead of the standard DIN 7". Sorry.

Previous years are standard single- or double-DIN and will fit the SVX.
