My gosh!

What kind of fuel does that thing run on? People?

Speedklix 04-28-2006 03:11 PM

WOW, id like to take a ride on that thing!

What on earth was that dozer doing on it???

Green1995SVX 04-28-2006 03:16 PM

Wow, that's pretty extreme.

Electrophil 04-28-2006 03:17 PM

It kind of looks like it was picked up by the buckets or something.

I'd also like to know how they got the thing off once it got stuck there.

Bet it was a glorious event to watch. but still... accidently picked up a bull dozer??!?!

SilverSpear 04-28-2006 03:58 PM

Actually I watched this monster on Discovery Channel, They had to move it from one place to another by going through people's property and farm lands... That thing is the slowest moving vehicule ever created

Oh Snap!

Even though the treads and modules themselves are not as wide that Earth Mover is even longer than the mobile Space Shuttle launcher. However, I am guessing on this though so anyone is welcome to verify and corrent me on this one.

That has to be the coolest big digging thing I have ever seen.
Not sure how the moron got his dozer stuck up in there. Must have fell asleep at the yoke.

Wow - a D8 Cat is no small animal itself. One of those things that when you see it in person it looks like it couldn't be harmed but in that pic it might as well have been made from tin foil.

Who wants to do the math?

100,000 dump trucks @ 40 yds. each = 260,000 average tandem axle dumps (normally rated at 15yds./truck). Guesstimate the truck length at 22'. How fast could a string of trucks drive, bumper-to-bumper, past the chute and be fully loaded? And, could and endless stream keep up?

They usually combine them with Cat 797B's.
