Blew my upper rad. hose off twice this week
 

I blew my upper rad. hose off twice this week. I know with some other cars I've had the thermostat tends to get sticky if they haven't been driven in a while.

I'm just wondering if that's my problem here, my SVX was sitting for a couple of months waiting for a window to come from Japan.

Anyone ever have a problem with this hose coming off?

I'm pretty sure it's a result of pressure build-up from the thermostat not opening.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I think the hose was not tight enough. The radiator cap should blow before the hose comes off. Defective clamp?
