What Is This Called?
I ordered part # 16607AA060 as told was the item I was looking for by subaru. It finally came in, but is way wrong. the bag contained a round steel spacer 16mm od, 8mm id hole, and 5mm thick. Now what I am trying to get is a rubber spacer that is D shaped and 12mm od, 4mm id, and 7.5mm thick. It goes under the aluminum cap, that is held down by 2 bolts, which covers each fuel injector. It is like some sort of vibration dampening spacer thing. If I know what it is called I bet I stand a better chance of getting one.
I know I can go to a junk yard and get one, but that means taking off work for about 2 hours which makes that one really expensive little piece of rubber. If someone can provide me a name, part number, or can mail me one I would really appreciate it. |
Well, if nobody knows what it is called then does someone want to guess. It's not a thing or a thingy. I've already tried those 2 names.:D

Is it in this diagram?

i imagine you're looking for #8
I would guess it is called an insulator |
....and subaruparts.com agrees
"$3.49 Insulator-fuel injector" P/N 16607AA040 and I'm guessing what you got was the washer that goes between this and the injector |

Insul-fuel inject Part number is 16607AA040 |
Yes it is #8. Looks like I came really close to getting the part I was looking for.
It also looks like Speedklix wins the name game. Thanks Hocrest for that diagram. I just hope nissan or subaru hase one of these in stock so I don't have to wait 2 weeks again. |
Mean people make nice ones seem even nicer while stupid ones just suck.
I ordered 16607AA040, and the dealer gave me a whole new injector for the low low price of $160! Of coarse I didn't want the injector. I go to a Nissan dealer that has been good in the past and order the same part. I am told by the parts guy that even though what came in ( the #4 in the above pic) didn't look the #8 in the pic, it had the same part number so I must be wrong. I told him he is a joke and I want my money back. I guess I am just going to take off work and go to a junk yard.
So far the subaru parts I have ordered are: 2 wrong hoses, 3 wrong gaskets, 3 attempts at the injector insulator, and one correct hose and one correct check valve. I am about to break out the duct tape and RTV cause I am sure about anything would work better than the WRONG PARTS! Oh and did I mention the fool who couldn't look up a head light switch because (I find out after about 10 min. waiting patiently) that troglodyte was spelling it HED LIT. I just walked away before I said something really mean. :tard: |
