My SVX got hit! ARGH!
 

Eric and I have been at the shop all night working on my Claret. We heard a truck engine close to our wall, so I look out the window and there is a newspaper box truck 2007 International 24' or so trying to make it between a boat and my car.

I opened the door, originally with the intention of shouting to the driver that I can move my car, but instead he squeezes through and I hear a noise, look quickly at my car to see the left rear quarter slammed in. He starts to drive off, so I ran after the truck (still out of breath). I banged on the box, and the door, running alongside and get him to stop.

Long story short, the police have been here and gone and they said that he was clearly at fault. I am already in touch with his insurance company and have the information.

I am SO mad that this happened right before Reading! :mad::mad::mad:

Luckily you heard that, and saw that. Luckily he didn't
successfully run away. :rolleyes:

damaged pics? Hopefully is not a big damage to be totaled.

Definitely fixable IMO, but still a hassle. :mad:

yeah, it's fixable, but a hassle especially before the reading.

hope you get the money from the insurance soon.

The good thing is there was a small amount of rust in that area and that will be repaired. Nice guy to try and drive away. Consider yourself very lucky overall, you heard it and it's a rust spot anyways.

Don't take this the wrong way man, but when I saw the pics of the ebony I breathed a sigh of relief. If it happened to the Claret I'd be shedding a tear.:rolleyes: :p


I hope you use the opportunity to fix it nice and proper.

+10 I also was thinking the worse. I am glad that if something had to get hit, it was the ebony. The nerve of just driving away after doing that. :mad:
