how do i switch the temp readout to celcius?

just wondering........

i am only assuming there is a magic combination of holding/pushing buttons to swap the reading from farenheit to celcius...........?

rob"i wish ONE of my svx came with the owners manual!!"m. :)

There is a connector behind the drivers side kick panel, the one under the fuse panel. The same panel you remove to get to the diagnostic connectors.

I think it's a white connector with one wire, maybe two??? I also don't remember which is which, but I think unplugged will give F, and plugged will give C????

Remove the kick panel on the left side of the car.
Locate a white electrical connector with a SINGLE black wire going into both sides.
Pull apart the white connector.
Put the panel back on, start the car and turn on your climate control. The temperature is now reading in Celsius!

Disconnected: Celsius

WTF? I started a thread like thi salready asking the same question and everyone was clueless!!! Oh well I'm just glad to now have an answer !!! :p

ensteele 04-16-2007 10:27 PM

When was that? I never saw it. If you don't get an answer at first, try posting it again by bumping it. Sometimes there are lots of posts going on and we don't get to all of them. I am glad you found out now. Good luck. :)

I forget...prolly a long time cause I've been on Celcius since last summer!!! Anyway it hasn't even been 24 hours and I am SOOOOO happy I can read my temps again!!!:D
Rallyingrob thank you for asking this question!

ensteele 04-17-2007 09:29 AM

I am glad you got it fixed the way you want it. Don't be bashful, and if you have a question, ask, and ask again if needed. :)

I would have thought you would now know how to read the temps in celcius by now. :D :D

pavanbabut 04-18-2007 10:11 PM

Actually you can use a switch so that you can switch between celcius and farenheit... not my idea, but I have a small factory installed switch under the temp reading display in my 164L to switch between C and F :) :p
