Mac gurus needed again!

I have a sudden neeeeeed for a G4 tower(actually a powerbook, but not enough $$$), but the budget says used only, anything I should look out for buying a used computer? Ways to test it? :o

WTF? They have all gone away! When I looked before I wanted one, but was gonna wait, I found many, now I freakin NEED one and can't find one :confused:
