Engine Quits
I need some help diagnosing a very intermittent problem. On about 4 occasions in the last month, my 94 FWD SVX has just quit running. It seems to be when I am going fairly slow and when the engine is relatively cold. It starts right back up. It also occasionally runs a little rough.
I'm thinking about biting the bullet and replacing all of the coils/plug wires. About 2 months ago the car was running rough and the dealer replaced one coil/wire and that fixed the problem. I'm thinking it's time to replace them all. Any thoughts? Thanks, Bill |
Any other issues? Has the CEL ever come on? It's possible a sensor is failing (crank/cam/MAF...)

The CEL has not come on. I was thinking about doing nothing and waiting for more of a "hard" failure. I hate to just shotgun fixes, especially when they're expensive fixes.
