Re: Crank Pully Picture
I just installed a light weight crank pulley so I no longer need my original I can send it to you in the mail. Probably wouldn't make it out until Tuesday and then a day later for delivery so Wed. unless I make it to NJ for something else I suppose.

Re: Crank Pully Picture
I had to replace a Crank Pully recently and the local Subaru auto wrecker didn't have one off an SVX. He sold me one from another type of Subaru (Legacy I think) and it was the exact same part. For what it's worth . . .

Re: Crank Pully Picture
Would a crank pulley off a 94 work on a 92 at all

"What size socket would I have to use to get that Pully off metric would be preffered "
Seriously? um, bigger than 10mm and smaller than 24mm.... It isn't that hard to figure some of this stuff out without having to post it. I believe it is right around 19mm but I could be wrong. Just take a minute and a socket set and do it, besides there is nothing like a little trial and error to gain some experience. |
Re: Crank Pully Picture
22mm I believe. I am pretty positive too.

Re: Crank Pully Picture
Let's not throw stones. Some socket sets don't go past 19mm, and it is not fun to go buy another set and it just happens to have the size you need omitted. There is no such thing as a stupid question.

Re: Crank Pully Picture
Wont lightweight pulleys set off the balance for the crankshaft?
|
Re: Crank Pully Picture
Not if the pulley is balanced. The balance means that it is rotationally balanced. I do not believe that it matters where the CG is, as long as its close to origionally designed. I could be wrong though.

Re: Crank Pully Picture
i guess so, it could've been just a domestic V8 thing that was causing issues as well with the harmonic balancer
