1/28th scale SVX model

Was there every a 1/28th scale model of the SVX ever produced? I participate weekly in Kyosho Mini-Z races and I think it would be cool if i could race one with an SVX body.

There was a 1/24 scale plastic model.

1/28 scale body ah? I was working on the following bodies.

1:64
1:28
1:10 (190mm)

1:64 is about 80% done
1:28 is about 50% done
1:10 just got started.

Yes there was. A very limited production (a few hundred were made). I saw one on Japanese auction once and i gave up after the model hit something like 400 dollars.

Seeing how i work for Radio Shack we would need at least 500,000 people before they would even consider that. Luky for us... there's always our good friends Violence, and Riot :D

I have one, check out my locker. I loaded a lot of images. That's not a plastic but a resin cast, not good idea for R/C..

Only less than 300 were produced by Studio 27. $$400 wow.. I paid only half of it, but I didn't feel it was worth that amount. It's not like Tamiya or Monogram, it needs certain amount of skill to build this one.

There were some pictures floating around of 1/10th scale in japan. Guys had their SVX R/C Cars lined up infront of their SVXs.

Hard to say.. Maybe in some Japanese auction? The model was extremely painfull to build, so some people just sold it. Trust me, I wouldn't recommend you to build unless you are an expert modeler. It took my whole winter vacation.....

Those are based on Toyota Soarer or Levin bodies with SVX graphic treatment on, which is really nicely done. I'm thinking about doing same thing using something similar to SVX shape.... Toyota Trueno or Nissan Sileighty can be a good base?
