Wiring diagram of Stock audio system

Hi all....

are anyone is having the wiring diagram of our stock audio system... like how many pre-outs we are having, like r we having the same outputs for both front/rear left and front/rear right or front (one output for both) or rear(one output for both). which output is given to tweeters..

if anyone is having a picture of wiring diagram please send it to me ....

thanks,
Pavan.

no pre-outs. the front speaker wires from the head unit are full bandwidth. The door speakers have no attentuation, the tweeters have a 6dB filter to cut the lows, they branch between doors and dash in/around the kick panels

not a drawing, but maybe will help

or you could get the adapter that is made for converting it to another headunit...which is alot easier. I done it to both of mine

you will have to purchase what are known as line drivers. They will take the high-level speaker inputs (I assume you would use the front speaker set) and convert them to RCA level outputs, these then will go into the equalizer's inputs. The rear output of the head unit is not used with this drawing as there are only two inputs to the equalizer. You must then employ an amplifier(s) to drive the front/rear speakers from what appears to be the RCA outputs of the equalizer. Alternately, you could leave the rear speakers connected to the head unit, but they will then not receive any benefit of equalization.

Basically what Lee is saying is that:

It's not worth it for just an equalizer

get a new headunit w/adapter and then go from there. You can hook up almost anything from it. Most newer headunits have rca ins &outs if its decent. It will be worth it, you will not have to go through the trouble of rewiring everything from your stocker, plus you get to listen to your music instead of having a dead stereo because of some wrong wiring
