Mostly to Porter....

Attached is a Pic taken from the roof of SOJ. Note my SVX was the only one to show (edit: look for black SVX on left side between a blue & a white WRX). There were 2 Imprezza, and the rest were WRXs. The Silver to the far right (and Blue behind it) were the two STIs available.

"Mr Porter", owner of SOJ was very nice and quite happy to support Subaru coming out with performance machines. Four regional SOA people attended, one being a systems instructor who spent about an hour with us and the STI. Started with the car on lift discussing suspension/driveline, then brought it down and talked turbo power, etc. Car was fired up, but sad to say no freebie test drives (I doubt any of us would have returned it W/O police escort). The parts manager was kind enough to open the parts counter up even tho it closed at noon (I asked at about 1:15) just so I could get a couple of lug nuts and oil drain plug gaskets.

I could go on for a long time, but need to stop. One more thing before I go, got a free STI hat, Suby water bottle, and a couple of team rally stickers (meant to go on window - has suby stars plus words).

I'm glad you made it there... I suppose you probably met Sparks and Jaxscuby and the rest of the freaks in Jacksonville... :D

We had a similar meet at Subaru of Gwinnett last week... lots of fun. I hope you'll go out to some events with the guys in the future! It's a great group.

when i was in jacksonville last week, i stopped by that dealership. it was wednesday. i walked in and was like where's the party. they said it was on saturday. i just got bored while waiting on the next flight back to atlanta so i checked out the sti's they had down there. price was pretty good $33500. i knew a girl that got her's in atlanta for $32,800. not too much of a difference. except that you can't buy one in atlanta anymore. i think you have to wait for the next shipment or get on a list. they are pretty nice down there in jacksonville.
