Wow. That's pretty cool.

I wonder how much it cost him to do though.

Yeah, i hadn't seen this one yet. Techno isn't my thing:lol:, but that's pretty sweet. I wonder what kind of performance he's getting...

did anyone else notice the hot side of the turbo being VERY close to the inside of the fender? doesn't seem like a good spot to have it.....

Some thoughts:

It appeared that the car did not have ABS, so probably a FWD.

AC was sacrificed for install.

Some pretty gobby welds. :o

But, hey, he did something. Just not my thing--I like AC when needed. :)

This is useless without numbers.

lhopp speaks the truth. Florida without AC is hell. For example: today's heat index is 107. Would you cruise without AC for that? I think not.

Agreed on the welds. They do look pretty meh, but whatever makes him happy I suppose. It could be worse and he could have like Altezza tails, and the infamous K&N sticker that adds like 25 whp. lol

if you check the FS threads....I am hopefully going to be picking up GreenMarine's old car! It's only a couple hours away, just waiting on the loan to pick it up. Can't think of a better circle.

yeah, it's been a long time coming. Finally done with school, as like I stated before I disappeared a couple years ago - I'm coming back now that school is done with!

sorry for thread hijack

That's what I want to do to the same year SVX, same color. I'm getting beat out ...

I would love to know how he tuned it with the SAFC II, everyone here seems to frown on doing something other than the Hydra or the chips but I'd say in the short term it beats blowing 3 grand just on tuneable engine management.

Is this guy in Japan? Can't tell where the build actually took place.

I noticed that, I also noticed that the when they show it running the intake system isn't finished. It was running N/A. They flipped the intake over and the MAF is on the driverside with nothing connected to it.

Re: Turbo 1994 SVX on youtube

I contacted the owner of the turbo SVX and hopes he will join here. I asked if he could have this turbo built for you guys if there were some people interested. Here is his reply-->

"Hi, glad u liked it what was the site that pointed to my vid?
The SVX was done my brother and I in our garage. And as far as cost i've put about $1500 in (parts) and recently the auto trans is slipping so perfect timing for a 5 speed swap from a legacy donor i found complete from a junkyard cost another $200 for the manual trans, peddles driveshaft, cross member, rear diff and rear axles. The big money is going to go into a decent clutch.

As far as working on other SVX for a turbo build i dont see any problem with that, have to do a bit of shopping but as long as it comes ready with all parts needed to get the job done...."

I let him know that I'm a huge fan of 'what works'. I do not care if it is ghetto or not, I'm about end result. If the car runs well, it is what it is. Hopes he shares his experience on how it runs and maybe some power numbers in the future.

I am still thinking about the $1500 in parts area. Boat loads of money I do not have but I could come up with $1500 in no time and have this kit installed. I'm happy N/A and wouldn't know if it would work with the cams Chike had installed anyways.

A $1500 for one guy can be a $3000 job for someone else. The difference between used and new parts is money. The difference between "yeh!" and "meh" parts is money. The difference between bought and laying-around-the-shop parts is money. The difference between do-have, should-have, and want-to-have parts is money. I'd like to see his bill of materials.
