Car hit 16,000 miles today...

Very fun to [occasionally] drive and incredibly easy to clean. The perfect car... uhhh, garage queen. And I know cars sitting under a cover aren't for everyone and I totally understand that.

Doesn't look too shabby either. Photos of the whole Subie family at the end! No time to line them all up this evening, but you can see that all four are there. The lack of time also helps explain my random and not very well composed photos.

The story summed up quick: My dad bought it when I was too young to appreciate anything. He fell in love with it when it was originally going to be a daily driver so it was put in the garage from then on. Growing up with a "garage queen" I started to get attached to it as well. I wouldn't consider it being saved for anything, but just something that my father and I admire. I started getting into detailing in my late teens and I've just tried to keep it flawless since. Whenever my dad doesn't want it at his house anymore, it won't be leaving the family any time soon.

Who knows if it will ever be 'collectible' or 'classic' status... I don't care. I just really enjoy the fact that it's a Subaru like no other, designed like no other. No exterior pillars and the windows all around are my favorite feature.

Hardly any cars have gas caps that intricate, that are held in place away from the car's paint.

Your car is Amazing it looks like it came right off the showroom floor!!
i could see that car some day ending up on barrett jackson some day.
Svx is one of the rarest cars that were built and every year that goes buy they get even more rare than the already are. I hope you keep it looking the way it looks in the photos some of us on this form dont have the resorces to store or cars but that is what make yours so unique form the rest.
You have stored it like a investor in the stock market would invest in a share.
i have always been a fan of japanise workmen ship they do there home work they lost money on this car. because they spared now expenience building it.
The american public is too dump to know what a good car is they think that if it is not a ford mustang or a chevy covette it is not collectable. those cars are a dime a dozen. i cant express enough on the rarity of a car like yours i hope you understand that there is probably 5 or less like that one in the world.

Wonderful looking car! I'd bet those are the original tires with the original air in them! What product(s) have you used on the paint?
