In the tradition of bringing vehicles with advanced technology to the market, I think that this would make a good model for the new SVX. This is Subaru's vision of the 4-passenger hybrid grand touring car.

I really doubt we'd see this in our market if at all. I like the idea and the clearly futuristic design going on here.

there once was a rumor that the design language used on that car would possibly be used to resurrect a 2011-2012 GT coupe... a possible SVX successor...

But it was only a rumor. Unlikely anyway, and not clear as to whether they meant an additional coupe, or if they were talking about the FT-86 project coupe, which Subaru and Toyota are working on.

But I don't necessarily think this hybrid tourer concept bears relevance to a direct new product, though. a tech showcase, and a new design language to float for public opinion...

I think it's fugly and I certainly hope nothing like that ever wears an SVX badge. It doesn't look like a "Grand Tourer" to me. More like, "just another 2-door mpv concept with big wheels and stupid doors".

I saw that car in person a couple of weeks ago. It's very interesting, but certainly looks better in photographs.

For some reason I cant see the Youtube video. Would any one tell me how I could fix that? Its getting really annoying that it happens with every youtube video up on forum pages.

Great minds think alike ;) I seen a variant of this video a few weeks ago and thought the same thing!



That car is lush! So beautiful... it's something I would be eager to drive, like the feeling I have with the SVX. And not so quick with the "it'll never come to market" comments. The SVX made it... this looks like a real winner!

(but I wouldn't hold my breath on it :lol: ;) )
