t-belt direction

I installed a new T-belt last night and was preparing to do the victory dance when I noticed that I put the d&^% thing on backwards. I was so focused on lining up the marks on the cams and crank that missed the dir. I even went over the marks three times before pulling the pin on the tensioner. I took it off and put it on right but was wondering if it really mattered. Is it a belt design issue or what?

It wouldn't have mattered, but just do it right to start with! Congrats on the job!!! We save a bundle by learning how to do things ourselves. This site is soooooooooo good!:D

Did you answer the question? Does it matter which way the belt goes on?
