Back from the drag strip. New best time!
Just got back from the drag strip. It was a blast! :D
There was almost no one there, so I was able to just go in big circles (if i wanted to...but i let the car rest between a lot of the runs). So, my best time: RT - .601 60' - 2.245 330 - 6.446 1/8 - 9.903 @ 71.90 1000 - 12.856 1/4 - 15.370 @ 89.65 40* with little/no wind (crosswind if anything) Gas was right on the 1/4 full line. Mods: Flowmaster exhaust Intake resonator removed/modified Tranny resistor unplugged corner light removed spare tire/jack/tools removed (heavy 18" wheels) Other times: 15.388 @ 89.52 15.389 @ 89.10 15.401 @ 88.31 :D :D :D p.s. When can i get an OBDII ECUTune? :o |
Wow! Great stats! :)

I agree, those are good times for the few mods done.

Scott,
Nice job! Very close to Chike's best time - mods are roughly the same with the exception of Chike having a 4:11 trans! Get those "heavy" rims off the car and I wouldn't be surprised if you went even faster! -Bill |

DUDE!!! VERY NICE!!!! You beat my best of 15.7, and I thought that was fast for a stocker
I did have my spare and a speaker box in it back then thoe. :D Did you get to run it over the scale? |

Those are great times especially for having stock gears. Definitely post on the scoobymile.com and dragtimes.com All of the runs on my 4.11's last season were only with a K&N filter and 60* temps. This year, I had a bunch more mods and power but my 4.11 trans was slipping... I'm excited that more and more members are finally taking their SVXs to the dragstrip. These cars are amazing!!!! -Chike P.S. The awd '96 'L' models definitely seem to be the fastest. So much for the secret 30+hp in the 92's... ;) |

Chike, i've been to the strip in my white car, and my red one when it was stock (with the 18's). I'll have to find my slips from then, but I think my fastest was 15.9; that was in the summer though. My fastest with the white car (94 LSi) was....i think high 15.7 or low 15.8. I'm pretty sure the white car was completely stock. |

Interesting that your 1/8 ET was faster by only .07 seconds, but I was almost 2 mph faster. I figure your time was faster because of the gearing giving you .07s advantage at 60'. But the speed, im not too sure about. p.s. Click the time in my signature for a picture of the slip. :D |
Congrats Dude.
Nice times for sure! :) It's always cool to see good times run at the strip, especialy from a car with very few mods done to it. |

1/4 Mile ET: 15.291 1/4 Mile MPH: 91.000 1/8 Mile ET: 9.830 1/8 Mile MPH: 70.070 0-60 Foot ET: 2.178 Temperature F: 61.0 Once my 1-2 shift was over, my car still had enough power to pull to 91mph at the end of the 1/4. When I ran 15.327 last Fall with just 4.11's and a K&N, my trans was fine, and my slip was as follows: 1/4 Mile ET: 15.327 1/4 Mile MPH: 89.540 1/8 Mile ET: 9.813 1/8 Mile MPH: 71.110 0-60 Foot ET: 2.222 Temperature F: 58.0 -Chike |

We're just waiting for the right time to use it  ;) -Bill |
Very impressive times. I think that may just be the best N/A stock geared SVX 1/4 mile et. I must say bravo, you are a contendor with many who have modified their transmissions and such. Where are you located, maybe you should cruize out to atco for our drag racing meet. Since Chike bailed on us there is an extra spot open ;) . really though everyone is invited but I would love to see how your SVX contends.
