Small Car Grille
 

Sorry if somebody has posted this already, but I just wanted to let everyone know that Small Car's grille will be for sale in January.

Where did ya get that info?

I talked to the guy, Brian, yesterday.

Did he tell you the $ tag??

He hasn't gave me the price yet. I emailed him and he'll probably email me back. If he does I'll let you guys know.

I see hell has frozen over along with the rest of the US.

If they make that front grill at a reasonable price, it'll be the one to get!

P.S. I think someone mentioned a while back that this pic was a photoshop image, but if the production grill looks anything like this, it'll be golden! :cool:

AMAZING, wow, finally, never thought i would see this day.......haha When i first saw this post, i thought it was another "when is this thing coming out" thread......:D

Yes... That is very obviously a picture that has been "Photoshopped". The black portion of the grill is more pixelated than the rest of the picture (meaning that it was most likely copied and pasted from a picture of a lower resolution, and then resized). The rest of this silver car has a slight blue tint to it, which is an obvious reflection of the sky... The silver part of the grill does not, meaning that it was digitally fabricated with a gradient tool, or something equivalent. The letters "SVX" and the low-beam projectors have zero pixelation, which does not match the rest of the picture (meaning that they were also fabricated). Not only is this terribly easy to see, but also impossible because if the lighting was actually bright enough to make the lenses that reflective, you would be able to see the glint and shadow of the bulbs inside.

As soon as I first looked at that picture months and months ago, I was totally sure that the grill was no where near a release date. With the reputation of Small Car, all of us have remained skeptical as well.

ill believe this is coming out when it finally does........until then i remain skeptical

come on, have a little faith in your life... when a guy announces on his forum he wants to sell this grill, most probably he is not lying..

Actually, a guy is announcing that another guy is going to sell his grill. Or is it a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy selling his grill.

In any event, the reason for the scepticism is that a lot of people WANT this grill. Showing everyone a picture (how long has it been, years?) and then posting that it will be for sale soon gets everyone that wants it excited about it and then anxious. The wait has been killing us. I don't want this grill - I NEED this grill (as long as the price is right).

I agree with gsodonis, I'd buy one for sure if the price is right. ;)

the reason i remain sceptical is because smallcar has had that grill "coming soon" for acouple years now and theres been times in the past when its been "alittle while away from being for sale", i dont have much faith in smallcar.
