Officer Down
while joining my squad i think was a good thing, sad things happen too.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2003May30.html little tree towns aren't supose to have incidents like this this is a cop from my town...one that i have known since 6th grade. he is now stable, but critical condition..this isn't a really good version of the story, but i am at work and can't surf too much. my prayers go out to his family and friends. while i don't agree with what the kid that was shot did, i feel for his family, i've known him for a while too, we went to school together Kelli |
That is an unfortunate incident, indeed. But the fact that the officer was only injured (though seriously) tells me that they handled the situation carefully and professionally.
What a shame the driver felt the need to defend himself against the police, of all people, like that. I've been irrational before, but I can't imagine where he thought pulling a gun on a police officer was going to get him. I'm glad to hear that the officer is okay. |
the officer is still in serious condition...he got shot in the face, neck, and arm. i was told by one of the paramedics there that if he survives, he won't be able to use anything from the neck down :( the express times is a good paper, tells the whole story, don't know if you have that in your area

Well, that's really too bad. I didn't know where he was shot. I hope that he does recover, as well as he is able to.

I am sorry to hear about the incident. There is more of this happening every day. I guess it is the times we are living in. It is always a sad day when things like this happens. :(

re: i'm sorry to hear that kelli

thats sucks
just the other day we had a cop shot and killed after chasing
some guy from a hit and run. About 2 miles from the shop and a decent area. He was wearing a bullit proof vest, and after he went down from some non lethal hits, the felon shot him in the face, then dropped his gun and gave up ......he was 40 yrs old and had 3 kids. First cop shot and killed in Tucson in 21 yrs.... Ironically on the same day, a cop shot and killed a felon in another part of town... 1 for 1 I guess..... |
Update
Officer John is sitting in bed and can move his feet. he is no off his respirator, thank GOD Kelli |
