THIS IS THE ORIGINAL "SVXCESS-PEARLIE"


Originally bought by me from the original owner in July 1999. .Mileage: 114,000. .Price paid was $7000.00.

After I bought my polo in late 2002, I sold the pearlie to Chris Gooderham "CDG" from Vancouver, B.C., in February 2003. .Mileage: 161,000. .Sale price: $9500.

Sold again to unidentified owner "Chris" in April, 2009.. Mileage: 214,000. Sale price: $3400.

Sold again to "Jazz" on the network (also from Vancouver) in November, 2009. .Mileage: 224,000. .Price unknown.


Now for sale again with 235,000 miles. .Asking price: $2900 OBO


Besides lacking the spoiler, the unmistakable clues that this is my original pearlie are the AWD emblem on the right rear and the ALL WHEEL DRIVE etched into the rear quarter windows.

I find that unbelievable as well. With 8 winters in Vancouver, I expected the body would suffer somewhat.

The more I see with out the rear spoiler the more I like it. When I bought my 92 Pearlie in 94 they didn't have a spoiler. (Spoiler was an option. as a matter a fact the trunk pistons are not really strong enough to support it ) cost me $406 + install and paint . Was told it was a deal Original Retail was $600.00.What is that aircare he said it didn't pass

"Air Care" is the B.C. way of saying emissions testing, only applies to the lower mainland area of B.C. I'm not sure what all is included as I live outside of the area that requires it, I can legally pollute all I want :D

I recently had my '92 Ebony repainted (full body) and I removed the spoiler. I much prefer it now, looks like a real grown-up GT cruise mobile, an exotic variant on a jaguar or some such .. or the sophisticated grand-parent of the STi ? ;-)

I think Vancouver winters (plus parking the car inside) is about the best environment a car can find to live in.

Both my 1992 SVX (Ebony) and my 1992 Mercedes Benz 300CE (Arctic White) have nary a spot of rust on them. I've had each up on a hoist recently .. virtually spotless except for a bit of dirt here and there.
