Stock Security System question(s) ?
 

Hey- with the stock security system clicker- does anyone know what type of battery the clicker takes, and where you can order them?

I have to get practically inside my car before the damn clicker will unlock my doors.

Radio Shack #27-279 GP27A replaces the stack of little batteries that it was originally designed for it.

You get 2 in the package, one for each of your remotes.

I have an extra pack sitting in front of me :)

Here is the link to reprogram the Key FOB which also has the battery number. It is the other number, but the Radio Shack number is the last one mentioned here. It is a AAAA battery. :)

The GP27A (Radio Shack) battery is the one for the remote. In fact the packaging says Keyless Remote on it.

If you are fortunate enough to have the SVX penlight that came with the owners manual, the replacement battery for it is the AAAA battery, Radio Shack 23-879. Its a 2 pack for about $3.69.

The short range of the remote isn't unusual either....... :D

I purchased two of them, they programmed just like the stock ones and work great!

They're also smaller, thinner, sleeker & sexier than the stock ones, (sorry to the Subaru design teams . . . ).
