Why to buy from svxfiles

I know this probably should be in the customer review forum but this is truly a SVX specific thread.

svxfiles has a plethora of parts available for the SVX community. Not only is he a great resource for rare stock parts for replacements but he is also a courier of svs specific modifications and NEW parts. For example I have purchased the following from him in the past

1. 5k HID's
2. 2 NEW front axles(damn all that torque:lol:)
3. Numerous driveshafts
4. Fiberglass hood
5. Front Differentials
6. Main fusebox
7. Tail housing
8. Transfer clutchs
9. Solenoid C
10. Asti:lol:
11. More asti:lol::lol::repost:
12. 20 min $20 mod
13. And some stuff I cannot remember

Not to mention he has been the source of great knowledge to me as well. Whenever I am stuck or I need a second opinion, i can call him and ask. He has put countless hours of his days to my assistance. He has also shown me how to do a great deal, for example swapping the LSD carrier over to a non-lsd 4.44 or 4.11 rear and how to build my own equal length headers. He truly is a great person and a great business person to deal with. I know he has a never ending line of satisfied customers when it comes to dealing with his work on the cars too. He has come up with countless innovations for the car as well. Some of them including his quick and painless suspension mods as well as poly rear diff bushings. I mean, he is priceless to this community and I feel obligated to point this out. Such a man can only be complimented with the same caliber lady. That being Di, a green eyed lady of course:D Their hospitality has been shown through various meets and social occasions. I just wanted to post to be sure he gets the respect he deserves.

Customer serv.......

Can he install a 4.44 into my XT6? :) I have the parts waiting in my basement right now.

I can even drop the XT6 off. I just want it back by 1/15/08, just in time for the heavy snow season.

Hrrm...can't think of any SVX parts I would need at the moment though. I will think of something.

I have been very impressed with Di too. Ooooops this is about Tom, isn't it.

Tom is great. I can hardly wait to see him (and Di) and everyone else again at Reading this next year. I just wish I was closer to his shop, and be able to learn more from him. :) He is truly an ass it to our community. :D

He has brought one of the best modifications to our cars to us which is the HID mod.

Long live asti!!!! :)

Go Toms go!

He helped me numerous times as well such as sourcing my 4.44 rear diff, my front bumper after the accident and trying to work things out with my body shop that in the end totalled my car out, providing the hids and always willing to take the time to answer a quick question or even stupid questions... thanks again... and also to everyone in this great community

Tom, I would like to say that is a truly class act.
Many people would look at you and OT and consider you competitors in the SVX repair/mod business.
I know you are and are not at the same time.
I have a feeling that SVXAPEAL, my fiancee, will be stopping in at OTs place for work this winter.
I should be hitting you up for the 5 speed conversion kit next spring/summer.

It is great to have 2 such competent people to choose from for a limited production vehicle.

A hearty thanks to BOTH of you...

When Tom and I come up with something new we are usually sharing it with each other first. We also agree on pricing for labor etc... in order to not undercut eachother. i have recently left him with one of my 5mt X-members in order for him to make a jig and begin his own production as well so he is not the middle man for the kit and can get his full worth out of a manual conversion. He is a great guy and I feel confident in trusting him with my ideas and designs as I hope he does with me

Not to dredge up old mud but that is the reason I had problems with another member a while back... out for them self and not for the greater good

for the record

motorsportwarehouse all the way in az referred me to ot, then ot referred me to yt as the manual specialist claiming to be the auto specialist. my experience with the svxspeedshop in pa has continued to be as benevolent as it began in az. yt came all the way to ma to pick up my car and other parts as well. also one of the few mechanics who have allowed me to pick and ship my own parts to their shop. some mechanics argue thats like bringing a steak to a restaurant. i say it's like bringing your own asti to the tailgate party. i only wish i had a case in the trunk when yt picked up my car. "what goes around, comes around" is definately at work here. tomssvx is known from az to pa as the best 5sp conversion specialist.

I just now saw this thread, and Thank You YT, and all who responded so kindly.:)
Hi, Earl, I saw that too!;)
We do have a special car community.
This last weekend at the Cumberland Pumpkin Carve event, when I had to check out how the heck Jerry lost all the camber on the right rear wheel, (note to self, replace those aftermarket camber bolts with stock ones:rolleyes:)
I asked Dave aka Hocrest to work my corner at the autocross, and without hesitation he drove there to allow me time to fix my car!:)
It occurred to me at that time that I can/could trust YT, a competitor, to fix my camber, while I worked the autocross corner.
Several friends from The Network, YT, Benebob, Hocrest, svxcess, Mark5, have driven for HOURS to help me build a garage!!!
Even if they only drove three nails!:p John

In the middle of an Asti fueled party Steve the Fire Fighter rewired my lift and garage sub-box!
subi-crosser, Jerry is always here to help out cooking, bringing bands, lending a hand, whatever...

This is a GREAT community, and I am happy and proud to be a part of it!
Original Tom
